Anyone know anything about Rice Lake, just south of Cascade Lake, outside the BWCA? I see a SNF campsite on the lake but I can't see how to access the lake. Appreciate any info.

You must mean Crescent, not Cascade. Caltopo shows a carry down access Here.

There is also a canoe route from Crescent Lake down to Silver/Rice lake. The portages are shown on the USFS map, but I have no idea how maintained those are.
